👣 Pedicure Tips from a nail tech that cares: 1. DO NOT let anyone use that cheese grater on your feet, it is illegal and makes your calluses come back thicker and faster. 2. DO NOT let any establishment use a pumice stone on your feet (those are for personal use only, barely work and cannot be sanitized) 3. Just because they use a plastic liner in the tub MEANS NOTHING. The water gets outside the liner still and the real crud is in the JETS. Unless they are bleaching their tubs inveteeen clients you’re at risk for bringing home a fungus from unwashed jet covers. 4. DO NOT shave right before a pedicure as your pores are open and it is easier to contract Staph infections if the tub was not properly sanitized. 5. The main reasons your gel polish peels off like a sticker are the oils not being cleaned off the nail properly, flooding the cuticles and not cleaning it before curing, and polishing too thick!
